48V Air Conditioner
Efficient rooftop cooling for compact, low-amp builds.
The 48V core system delivers 120V AC, and 12V or 24V DC via the integrated AC/DC distribution panel. However, while the DC side distributes 12V or 24V power for your lights, fans, and other appliances, the battery bank itself operates at 48V.
Thus, 48V air conditioners can be wired directly to the 48V battery bank, bypassing the distribution panel. This setup minimizes current, reduces losses, and allows the air conditioner to run more efficiently and reliably, especially in hot weather or extended off-grid use. This setup bypasses the RV5 Power Hub and delivers power straight from the battery bank, ideal for high-demand loads that benefit from maximum efficiency and minimal conversion loss. Because the Epad receives data directly from the battery BMS, it continues to show the correct state of charge and runtime remaining. Even with the A/C pulling power directly from the battery bank, SOC and remaining runtime tracking operates as usual, however the real-time watt draw readout for the A/C does not appear on the Epad screen.
