FreshJet 5 is Dometic's low-profile rooftop air conditioner designed as a direct Penguin II replacement ( Transition Guide ).  With built-in hard start, quieter performance, a reinforced steel base and models available with or without heat pump, it's engineered for both new RV builds, universal replacements, direct replacement for the Penguin II and upgrades offering modern comfort without changing the fit.

10.5" LOW-PROFILE INSTALLED HEIGHT

Ideal for taller vehicles and improved aerodynamics.  Maintains the same clearance and mounting specs as Penguin II, no rework required.

DIRECT REPLACEMENT FOR PENGUIN II

Matches the same 14" x 14" roof cutout, mounting footprint and control systems (CT and CCC2).  Seamless transitions for OEMs and easy upgrade path for aftermarket.

BUILT-IN HARD START 

Provides a power boost at startup, helping the compressor start smoothly while reducing strain and preventing breaker trips on lower-power sources.

QUIETER OPERATION

Redesigned blower wheels and airflow path deliver up to 9db less noise than Penguin II in non-ducted setups significantly improving cabin comfort.
