Use this tool to get the coils out of a new leader or a leader that has been stored on the reel for a long time. A straight leader will cast farther, land more delicately on the water and make less surface disturbance. Pinch the leader between the rubber lined leather pads and gently pull the leader through. The leader straightener has a metal D-ring for attaching to a zinger or to a clip to a vest or pack.
